James & Jacklen Taylor

Award-winning Outlaw Photographer James Taylor is the owner, creative director, and lead photographer for Outlaw Photography. His work has been featured in such publications as INsite Magazine, the Bandera Bulletin, the Boerne Star, the Hill Country Sun, the Rivercity Daily Tribune, and in many other media outlets. In 2006 and 2007, he won first-place photography awards from the Texas Gulf Coast Press Association, and has been voted "Best Photographer in Bandera County" by the readers of the Bandera Bulletin for the past two years in their annual Best of The Best competition.

James is a graduate of Bandera High School and lifelong resident of Bandera County. He is an award-winning member of the Professional Photographers of America, Texas Press Association, South Texas Press Association, Texas Gulf Coast Press Association and The Texas Photo Forum. He has studied with the New York Institute of Photography, Texas Press Association, Texas Christian University and Granite Publications.

His wife, Jacklen Taylor, is a professional model and make-up artist. She is also a graduate of Bandera High School and a veteran of the United States Navy. Having worked in the photography industry for years, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes, Jacklen's modeling and make-up talents have been featured in film, television, radio, and print.

Outlaw Photography is based out of Bandera County in the Texas Hill Country. We serve clients locally and across the country, specializing in family, senior and wedding photography. We are happy to take on any project, though, so long as it is both creative and challenging.


Community & Philanthropy

Outlaw Photography is committed to the Bandera County and Texas Hill Country communities we serve. Our clients in these communities have given us the capability to practice our art professionally, and we are always seeking new ways to give something back.

To this end, a percentage of all of our income is dedicated to assisting area non-profits and their community enrichment programs. A few of our current in-house projects include efforts designed to support breast cancer awareness, area pet shelters, and scholarships for students of photography. If you are interested in assisting with any of these projects, please contact us.
